Use the Power of Ice
Much like when you use ice to reduce the swelling after an injury, you can use ice to reduce the swelling of a pimple. Try wrapping a handful of ice in a plastic bag or a thin towel and applying it to the affected areas. The ice serves to reduce the size of the targeted pores. Eventually, it calms the skin and accelerates the healing process. However, do not apply ice directly to the skin. It can damage the skin rather than help it.
Toothpaste doesn’t have to be contained to only cleaning teeth. Toothpaste is a great way to reduce the size of pimples in a short period of time. The ingredients of many brands of toothpaste include hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and triclosan. These ingredients are known to be good for the skin by themselves and when combined can do wonders. Try applying toothpaste to the affected areas overnight if you want to quickly downsize a pimple. If possible, avoid toothpaste containing high amounts of fluoride as it can irritate the skin.
