Olive Oil and Sugar

As we stated above, olive oil contains antioxidants and healthy fatty acids that pamper your skin. Olive oil can also soothe and condition all dry skin on your body. When you add olive oil to a sugar scrub, you make a moisturizer exfoliate that will remove all excess dead skin cells.  Add 4sps of fine brown sugar and 1 tbsps with honey to 2 tbsps of olive oil to make a paste. Dab a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil on your skin and cub in a circular motion for a few minutes. Take a shower to rinse off with warm water. Your skin should feel smooth and soft all over.

Oatmeal is a great exfoliator or face mask since it will remove dead skin cells and re-hydrate the skin. Oat is a very soothing product because it will help your skin retain moisture. Add a cup of oatmeal to a warm bath and take a soak for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also make an oatmeal honey mask by mixing two tablespoons of oats with one tablespoon of honey and a little water. Warm up this mixture and rub onto your skin. You can either wash it off right away or leave it for 15 to 20 minutes for a hydrating mask.

Yogurt and Papaya

Yogurt and Papaya

Plain Yogurt is an excellent skin-hydrating agent since the lactic acid in yogurt will dissolve dead skin and tighten your pores. Plain yogurt is also an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory which helps soothe itchy and dry skin. For the best yogurt mask for dry skin mix ½ cup of yogurt with a few drops of honey and 3 tbsp. of mashed papaya. Add a few drops of lemon and mix all together. Leave on dry skin for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with cold water when you are done. Do this once a week for best results.
