Coconut oil is regarded as a “superfood” that is packed with fats known as medium chain triglycerides. Studies suggest these fats can boost your metabolism by as much as 120 calories a day. It has also been suggested that these fats reduce your appetite as well.

Coconut oil is also a saturated fat, which is much less likely than an unsaturated fat to break down into substances that can cause cancer when digested. This can help reduce the risk of getting several types of cancer, ovarian cancer being one of them.
