9. Garden Sage
Garden sage has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can significantly soothe your aching tooth. It is also used to treat inflamed or bleeding gums, as is found with gingivitis. To use garden sage, mix a teaspoon of crushed sage and salt into a glass of water to use as a gargle. Gargle for at least five minutes and repeat the procedure two or three times a day until you feel relief from the pain. Camphor and a compound known as 1,8-cineole, which are found in sage, are thought to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effect.
8. Ginger and Red Pepper
Ginger and red pepper are both natural analgesics and can be used separately for pain relief. Ginger has components like gomgerol and shogaol, which help reduce pain and decrease inflammation. Capsaicin, which is found in red pepper, blocks pain signals to the brain. A mixture of the two can be very potent and help with your abscess. Mix equal parts of both spices in water to make a paste and apply it to the affected tooth using a cotton swab. Try to avoid touching your gums, as they can become irritated.
7. Sesame Seed
To use sesame seed as a treatment, boil sesame seeds in double the amount of water until the water reduces by half. Wait for the paste to cool down and make a pellet, which can be placed into the cavity to help with your toothache.
