9. Ability to Maintain Energy Through the Day
You may not greet the buzzing of your morning alarm clock with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. (If you do, count yourself very lucky!) However, one sign of good health is the ability to wake up in the morning feeling reasonably refreshed and ready to face the day. Having the proper energy to complete your daily tasks and stay alert and connected throughout the day are other signs of superb health. Give your body the proper tools to keep you energized by getting six to eight hours of sleep each night, eating nutritious foods, and exercising regularly.
8. Regular Bowel Movements
Everyone is different when it comes to bowel health. Some people go at the same time each day like clockwork. While some people go two or three times a day, others may only go every couple of days. If you have regular bowel movements according to your own individual body schedule, then your body is doing its job. According to the Cleveland Clinic, you may need to see your doctor if you have disturbing changes in bowel movement color, consistency, or frequency.
7. Clear, Yellow Urine
Normal urine can come in a variety of shades of yellow. It should be clear, not cloudy. Cloudy, murky, bloody, or foul-smelling urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection or kidney disease. Keep your kidneys and urinary tract healthy by drinking plenty of water. The general rule is six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day. Fruits and vegetables high in water content can also contribute to good hydration.
