12. Get Rid of Earwax
Earwax is something that we all have to deal with, but it doesn’t always have to be a problem. Though most earwax can be eliminated by simply using a tissue, there is still hidden earwax that may not be cleared out so easy. Since using q-tips is heavily frowned upon, try adding a few drops of hydrogen peroxide and olive oil to your ear to clear out excessive earwax. You may have to wait a few minutes before it fully liquefies and becomes easy to drain.
11. Purify Your Humidifier
Using a humidifier in your room can provide many benefits, such as better sleeping habits, a soothed throat, and an overall cleaner breathing environment for you to live in. Over time, however, the water in the humidifier can end up containing plenty of harmful bacteria that will end up growing mold in the water and contaminating the air around you instead of purifying it. Luckily, this can easily be fixed by adding a pint of hydrogen peroxide for every gallon of water that ends up in the humidifier.
10. Hydrogen Peroxide Can Kill Nail Fungus
Nail fungus is caused by exposure to warm and damp environments and allowing fungi to grow uncontrollably in the nail bed. At the start, nail fungus can start as a simple yellow or white spot underneath the fingernail, but can quickly grow into a serious condition that can cause the nail to discolor and possibly break altogether. Luckily, a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar can kill the fungus. Just soak the nail in the mixture for a short amount of time and allow it to dry completely before clothing.
