Finding several bumps on the tongue is a normal condition, and is found in 14% of the U.S. population.
7. Small White Patches or Leukoplakia
An irritated tongue is usually seen in smokers. Initially, it is painless and has at least a 5% chance of developing into cancer. If you don’t smoke, there could be something rubbing your tongue. This will usually disappear in two weeks; if not, visit a dentist.
