FDA Warns About 13 COVID Vaccine Side Effects

The first coronavirus vaccine is finally here, but so are the side effects that come with it. After getting the vaccine, two medical workers in the U.K. reported severe allergic reactions. As a result, the FDA has warned Americans not to take the vaccine if they have a history of severe allergic reactions.

Besides that, “we have not seen any severe adverse events that we could relate to the vaccine thus far,” says Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert. “Safety is a very important issue,” Fauci added, “when you look at the hundreds and hundreds of millions of people who’ve been vaccinated, the long-term adverse events have been less than minuscule in the big picture of the protection that you get from a vaccine.”

The FDA says: “In an ongoing clinical trial, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has been shown to prevent COVID-19 following 2 doses given 3 weeks apart. The duration of protection against COVID-19 is currently unknown.”
