Pick up a bag of limes for your home and make lime water your go-to beverage. If you want to switch it up, try adding lime juice to warm water and add a dollop of honey. This will help relieve any swollen or tenderness caused by uncomfortable stones in the mouth. Food particles combined with bacteria already existing within your mouth will result in tonsil stones. Water also helps thin out mucus, which can also be a culprit in the development of tonsil stones.
