Wash your hands using a combination of soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Lather up not only the palms of your hands but also the backs of your hands. Focus on the areas between your fingers and don’t forget to get the debris out from under your fingernails.

Without proper handwashing, your hands can quickly spread germs. In a study carried out by Michigan State University, they found that 5 percent of individuals out of 3,749 people failed at performing sufficient hand washing after using the bathroom. Many even failed to use soap.
