Simply wash the potato thoroughly, pierce it with a fork, and wrap it in a paper towel. Next, microwave your tater on high for 5 minutes. When the 5 minutes are up, flip the potato over and microwave it for a few more minutes. Be careful not to overcook your spud, as it will turn hard and dry. Your potato is done when it is soft to the touch.
