Your body really needs to stay hydrated. Studies show over 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Dehydration occurs when you are losing more fluid than what you take in to drink. When you do not replace the fluids you lose daily from sweating, peeing, or even breathing, then your body is dehydrated. Did you know that dehydration can even cause you to be in pain, fatigued, or get dizzy? This is why it’s important to know how to avoid dehydration and keep your body working at its best.

9. Drinking Too Much Alcohol

Avoid Alcohol

Alcohol is a diuretic, meaning it removes fluid from the blood and body, making you have to urinate frequently. It is best to drink plain water in between your alcoholic drinks.

8. Drinking a Lot of Coffee

Too Much Coffee

We love our coffee and tea, but coffee has higher amounts of caffeine. Although two to three cups are usually okay for most people, when you get up to four or more cups the caffeine level will deplete your fluid and you can become dehydrated.
