It’s better to eat oatmeal; not the instant kind, but steel-cut oats that you need to cook. This kind is rich in beta-glucan fiber and is very filling, and could lower cholesterol.

Instead, try a plain, nothing added Greek yogurt or homemade, fresh yogurt. You can add a few pieces of fresh fruit, cinnamon, or nutmeg for flavor. Greek yogurt is higher in protein, reduces your appetite, and contains better probiotics.
